Grove City Police Explorer Program
Are you between the ages of 14 and 21 years old and interested in a law enforcement career?
The Grove City Police Law Enforcement Explorers may be just what you are looking for! Participants should possess a good moral character and carry a grade point average of at least 2.0 to be involved in this program.
The Grove City Explorers were established to enhance the relationship between city youth and the Police Department. Grove City Police Explorers meet every other Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Grove City Police Department, 3360 Park Street. Explorers have the opportunity to attend regional and national conferences and training seminars.
The Grove City Explorer Program includes:
- Community Service Activities
- Meetings
- Ride-alongs
- Role-playing
- Workshops
Explorers learn about:
- Emergency Communications
- First Aid
- Fingerprinting
- The important of police procedures
Explorers assist the police in such community-wide events as:
- The Blast at Beulah, July 4th Celebration
- Balloons and Tunes, Annual Balloon Festival
- Arts in the Alley Boo on Broadway
